52 pieces about nothing

52 pieces about nothing was a series of music that ran from October 2006 until September 2007, during which time slow/dynamite streamed one new, improvised piece of music every week for one year. The group sent out the weekly email blasts every Monday, with accompanying artwork done by our friend Aron Taylor [http://arontaylor.com], to inform the masses that a new piece was up. The only two exceptions to the above were Clocktet, a flash-based piece designed to explore the idea of music as a function of time, and the 52nd piece in the series, an unauthorised cover of The Birthday Party's 'Wild World'. So far, Nick Cave has not issued any cease and desist orders. We hope that trend continues.

Currently, the group is accepting video submissions to accompany each piece [for a larger ongoing project], some of which can be seen on their myspace page. If you wish to contribute, you can contact slow/dynamite through their myspace page or by email at slow.dynamite[AT]yahoo[DOT]com.
